MRH Elementary Book Giveaway

Maplewood Richmond Heights Elementary book fair has been an ongoing success because of the generous support of students, parents, grandparents, staff, etc.  As a result, every student in the elementary school received two free books to encourage and support summer reading.

In addition, teachers received five free books to add to their classroom libraries - keeping their shelves fresh and current with new titles.  Teachers were very grateful because many of them will be switching to different grade levels this August and are in need of grade appropriate books.  As a result,  the PTO (parent teacher organization) gave away a little more than 1,200 free books.

“The PTO is very honored for the opportunity to encourage and support life-long readers, and I hope that this event can continue for years to come because it honestly makes such a difference,” says Sandy Richason, PTO member.
